Why order local

A local shop that answers the phone.

Upload a logo to one of the big embroidery sites and you turn into an order number in a queue. Here you get one person who knows your account, your thread colors, and your deadline.

  • Somebody actually picks up. One person here owns your job start to finish, and (831) 821-3582 rings a desk on the floor, not a call center in another state.
  • You see it stitched first. We run a sample on your actual garment and adjust until the stitch lays flat and small text still reads clean.
  • Digitized once, yours for good. The stitch file, thread colors, and placement stay here, so the batch you order for next season's hires comes out matching the first one.
  • Close enough to fix. Sewn at The Red Barn in Hollister. If a cap comes out wrong, you are a short drive from the person who can redo it that afternoon.

What We Stitch

If it holds a hoop, we can embroider it.

Embroidery is the flagship of the shop. Hat clamps, cap drivers, jacket frames, and bag hoops are in rotation every day, so almost anything you wear to work or wear your brand on can be stitched.

Headwear
Hats & Caps

Structured, unstructured, trucker, snapback, dad caps, and beanies. Flat embroidery or raised puff 3D for that retro sport-shop look. This is what we are best known for.

Corporate
Polos & Button-Downs

Left-chest logos, sleeve hits, and name drops on polos, oxfords, and performance shirts. Clean, consistent placement across every size in the run.

Outerwear
Jackets & Hoodies

Softshells, pullovers, quarter-zips, and hoodies. Big back logos and chest marks that hold their shape through wear and washing.

Trades
Carhartt-Style Workwear

Heavyweight duck jackets, twill work shirts, and durable uniform pieces for crews that put their gear through it. Stitched to take the abuse.

Safety
Hi-Vis & Uniforms

Branded safety vests, hi-vis shirts, and full crew uniforms for construction, utilities, painters, and service trades. Compliant blanks, your logo on the chest.

Bags & Programs
Bags & Reorder Programs

Totes, duffles, and backpacks, plus standing reorder programs for teams and businesses. Your logo stays on file, ready to run the day you call.

The Embroidery Floor

Stitched by a local shop that actually cares.

Embroidery is craft, and the machines are just the tools. Malou and Alyssa run this department day in and day out, and have for years. Every logo is test sewn on the actual fabric and dialed in until the stitch lays flat and the mark reads from across the room.

Low Minimum

Start at twelve hats. No wholesale wall.

Most embroidery shops make you commit to 24 or 48 before they will touch it. We start at 12. You do not always need a huge run to look official, so a small team, a new brand, or a one-off crew order is welcome here, not turned away at the door.

  • 12-piece minimum on hats, one of the lowest in the area
  • Mix hat styles and colors within the same order
  • Small polos, jackets, and workwear runs handled the same way

Turnaround

Your deadline is the job.

Standard embroidery turnaround is five business days once your proof is approved. Up against an event, a trade show, or a season opener? Give us the date when you send the logo. You get a yes or a no on the spot, and a yes here means it ships.

  • Five business day standard turnaround after proof approval
  • Rush usually works when the job starts Monday or Tuesday
  • Local pickup at The Red Barn or shipped anywhere in the country

Stitch Quality

Built to survive the wash and the work.

Printed logos crack and fade; stitched thread does not. Embroidery holds its color and shape through daily wear, wash after wash, job site after job site. We match the stitch and the stabilizer to the fabric, and we get both right before a single production piece runs.

  • Satin, fill, puff 3D, and applique options
  • Stabilizers and toppings matched to the fabric (terry, fleece, knit, twill)
  • Test sewn on the real garment, not just a screen preview

Sewn Proofs

You see it sewn before we run it.

Every logo gets test sewn on the actual garment color, so we see exactly how it lays before your order runs. We dial it in until the stitch lays flat and the logo reads clean, and you approve the proof, not a rushed guess. Set up once, kept on file, so you never pay to set it up again.

  • A sewn sample on your garment, not just a screen preview
  • Mockup and proof before any production thread runs
  • Set up once, kept on file for every future reorder

Extremely happy with our order. The embroidery quality is top notch and I like that they offer the Carhartt brand. Sublime was fantastic to work with. We will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend for anyone needing embroidered uniforms.

Blown away by Sublime. We had Carhartt jackets embroidered with our logo. Even with a last-minute request, they moved fast, nailed the quality, and hand-delivered everything so we would get it on time. We surprised our team with the jackets before the holidays.

As a high school head coach, I have worked with several vendors over the years. Sublime really stood out. After being repeatedly ignored by a previous supplier, it was a relief to find a company that actually follows through. Custom polos, hats, and jackets with top-notch embroidery, solid turnaround, fair pricing.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Brian and his crew have never been less than amazing. I have been using them for apparel for a few years and even though I moved out of the area we still use them. Top notch customer service, always reliable, high quality. Big or small they get your order done fast.

The Red Barn · Since 2017

One family, one barn, four shop dogs.

The shop lives inside The Red Barn at 7600 Fairview Road in Hollister, same address since 2017. The family whose name is on the building runs the machines your caps go through. Pick up here or we ship it out. Call during the week and you get one of us, usually with a dog underfoot.

Uniforms your crew actually wears.

A left chest logo on a polo, caps for the whole shop, jackets people take home and keep wearing. Your logo gets digitized once, and every run after that comes off the machines the same way.

  • Trades and field crews. Work shirts, hi-vis, and jackets stitched to survive a job site, on heavyweight workwear brands as well as standard catalog blanks.
  • Front office and sales staff. Clean left chest logos on corporate polos and button-downs, sized so nobody quietly leaves theirs in a drawer.
  • Hospitality and retail counters. Aprons, caps, and staff shirts that get looked at across a counter every single day.
  • Schools, teams, and departments. Coach polos, staff jackets, and department caps for programs across the Central Coast.
  • Standing uniform programs. Your digitized file stays with us, so new hires get the same stitch without paying setup twice.
  • Gear you already own. Jackets and caps already sitting in the shop? Bring them by. We test the fabric and backing before a needle touches them, so your logo goes on what the crew is wearing right now.

Send your logo and a headcount and we come back with an itemized quote and a garment recommendation. Start a quote.

FAQ

Common questions about embroidery.

What is the hat minimum for embroidery?
Twelve pieces on hats, one of the lowest minimums in the area. Most shops want 24 or 48. We know you do not always need that many, so a small team order or a new brand launch is welcome here.
How much does embroidery cost?
Three things move the number, how dense the stitch is, which garment you pick, and your piece count. The calculator gives you a ballpark right now. Send the logo instead and a full itemized quote lands within one business day. Any one-time setup is quoted up front with the order, and once your logo is on file, reorders skip it.
Is there a setup fee?
New logos have a one-time setup fee, quoted up front with your order. It is a one-time cost. Once your logo is on file, every reorder runs with no additional setup.
How long does embroidery take?
Five business days from the moment you sign off on the proof. Start the job on a Monday or Tuesday and rush is usually on the table. Got a hard date? Say so when you send the logo and you will get a yes or a no, not a maybe.
What can you embroider?
Hats, caps, and beanies, polos and button-downs, jackets, hoodies and pullovers, Carhartt-style workwear, hi-vis safety gear, full crew uniforms, and bags. If it holds a hoop, we can stitch it. Hats are the service we are best known for.
Can you do 3D puff embroidery?
Yes. Puff 3D looks great on structured trucker hats and snapbacks, and works best on bold, simple logos with thicker stroke weights. We also run satin, fill, and applique.
Will the embroidery hold up to washing and work?
Yes. Because the thread is stitched into the garment, embroidery keeps its color and shape through daily wear and repeated washing, unlike prints that can crack or fade. We match the stabilizer and topping to each fabric so the stitch lays flat and lasts, even on work jackets that take a beating.
Can you embroider customer-supplied garments?
Yes. Bring them clean and unwashed if possible, and we will run a test stitch first to confirm placement and fabric behavior before we commit the full order.
How fast can I reorder?
Three to five business days from your go-ahead, because the hard part is already done. Thread colors and placement are saved with your file, so nothing gets set up twice.
Do you embroider company uniforms and work shirts?
Yes, uniform work is a big part of the floor here. Work shirts, hi-vis, jackets, corporate polos, and caps, with your logo digitized once and stitched the same on every run after. Send your logo and a headcount for an itemized quote.
How far do you go for embroidery orders?
The machines live in Hollister. Uniform and cap orders regularly go out to crews in Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San Jose, Salinas, Watsonville, Santa Cruz, and Monterey. Pick up at the barn, or we ship anywhere in the country.
Can you embroider and screen print the same order?
Yes. Embroidered polos for the office and printed tees for the field run together all the time, quoted once and invoiced once. Tell us the split when you send your logo.
Is there an embroidery shop near me around Monterey Bay?
Ours is in Hollister at 7600 Fairview Road, which puts us inside an easy drive of Salinas, Watsonville, Santa Cruz, Gilroy, and Morgan Hill. Open weekdays 8 AM to 4 PM, or call (831) 821-3582 and we can start the quote without you leaving the shop.
Do we pay digitizing again when we reorder?
No. Digitizing is a one-time setup on a new logo. After that your file stays with us, so reorders for new hires run off the same stitch file with no setup again.
